Product FeaturesLM6012 is a one-component, solvent-free, reactive (moisture-curing) polyurethane hot melt adhesive with excellent adhesive performance and rapid curing. It offers good workability, suitable for both spraying and spreading applications. The product has a moderate open time, high initial tack, quick positioning, and strong final bonding strength. It can provide good adhesion to various substrates and films. • Reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive. • High initial strength. • Moderate curing time. • Good low-temperature adaptability. • Extremely high heat resistance. • Excellent water resistance.ApplicationsLM6012 is mainly used for bonding PVC to materials such as MDF, solid wood, decorative lines, wood-plastic lines, and aluminum profiles.

Scope of application
LM6012 is mainly used for PVC cladding of Density Board, solid wood, clay lines, wood plastic lines and aluminum profiles.
Product Packaging:
20KG Iron Drum Lined with Aluminum Foil Bag
Specific Applications:
(1) Requires moisture-resistant sealing equipment and spray guns, especially suitable for spray nozzles or glue spreaders with a flat nozzle design.
(2) To prevent secondary reactions during melting, the melting and application equipment should be equipped with a precise temperature control system. If the temperature exceeds the recommended working temperature, even without moisture, crosslinking reactions (urea-formaldehyde reactions) may occur within LM6012, leading to increased viscosity.
(3) Long-term exposure to high temperatures will cause an increase in viscosity. The residence time of LM6012 in the processing equipment should be controlled to no more than 4 hours. If downtime exceeds 4 hours, the equipment temperature should be reduced to below 80°C to prevent such reactions.
(4) If LM6012 has not been used for over 24 hours, it should be preheated before reuse. Check if any skin has formed on the surface of the adhesive in the barrel, and remove it before using.
Storage Conditions:
(1) Store the product at temperatures between 0°C and 25°C, with an extreme storage temperature range of -15°C to 38°C, in a dry environment to prevent moisture ingress. Avoid outdoor storage.
(2) Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life of LM6012 is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Cleaning and Maintenance Guidelines:
(1) Before prolonged shutdowns, the extruder and melting equipment should be thoroughly cleaned with a flushing agent. Upon restarting, ensure the flushing agent is fully drained and replace it with fresh PUR adhesive.
(2) For nozzles and adhesive heads, clean the nozzles externally before use and expel any remaining flushing agent by dispensing the PUR hot melt adhesive.
(3) Clean the heating plates and remove any residual PUR adhesive mechanically when changing to a new PUR batch.
(4) During overnight or weekend shutdowns, seal the adhesive heads, nozzles, and slot nozzles with an anhydrous, non-acidic wax or mineral oil to prevent moisture from reacting with the PUR hot melt adhesive.
(5) For all cleaning and maintenance operations, follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
