Breakthrough in New Eco-Friendly Adhesive Technology Aids Sustainable Development

At the International Adhesive Technology Symposium held in Berlin, Germany, in October 2023, several leading polymer materials and chemical companies showcased their breakthroughs in eco-friendly adhesive technologies. These innovations focus primarily on the synthesis of polymers from renewable biomass and low-VOC adhesive systems based on aqueous dispersions. By employing chemical modifications and nanotechnology, these advancements have achieved significant improvements in adhesion performance and durability while substantially reducing the emissions of free formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds. Materials science experts at the symposium believe that these breakthroughs in new adhesive technologies not only respond to increasingly stringent environmental regulations but also lay the foundation for future product eco-design.
